WordPad cannot open any type of documents

Hello,

I cannot open anything with WordPad because of this error. I don’t know how to solve this and after a small research on the Internet nothing useful was found. Is there anyone who can help me please with this error ?

WordPad cannot open any type of documents

 

Word pad is not able to open a document that is saved in .docx format. But, a file saved in .doc file extension can be opened by Wordpad by following the steps below.

• Click the "Start"  button , Choose "Run" , type in WordPad and click "OK"
• Open the "File" menu 
• Select "Open" from the drop down menu
• To right of  "files of type" there would be an arrow, click it.
• From the drop down menu, choose the option "word for window (*.doc)" 
• Give the path for .doc file, you want to open,  
• Select the file, click "open".
• Now your document will be opened in WordPad.

It is simple and easy way to fix this error.

There is another way to fix the problem, for this purpose, you need to take the following steps.

• Set up the file as default word pad document.
• Open the file by double click on it.
•  Now you can open it in word pad.
