Words are being deleted while writing in MS word

Usually, while writing in MS word if I write a word before the next word moves to the right side. For example if I write before giant in the following picture.

The word giant and other words after it moves to the right side in normal situation. But, sometimes it happens that if I write a word before giant the word giant and other words after it does not move to right sites. Rather, it stands in their position.

And when I write 'red' before 'giant', 'GIA' is being deleted to give the position to the word 'red' as shown below.
I suffered many times from this problem while doing an important work.

Method. 1: In typing you just press button “insert” of left side of the Keyboard unconsciously, this is called overtype mode you can see OVR is highlighted in status bar, toggle it again so that this problem will not occur next time.

Initially undo the typed you can gain “gai” of your text again, then click “insert” on your keyboard now type “red” before that particular word you would resolve your problem.

Method. 2: If the problem stilled, Reinstall Microsoft word it might be corrupt.

Method. 3: It happens some time when we use delete tab instead of backspace remember 1 thing that back space must be removed from right to left and delete button to remove words from left to right.

Hi Russel,

This problem can be solved by just pressing the "insert" key on the left of your keyboard, as you probably pressed it by mistake. This key turns on and off the "overtype" mode for Microsoft Word.

To get rid of this problem forever you must go to the Office Button in the upper left corner.

Office Button

Go to Word Options.

Word options

On the Advanced tab uncheck the "Use overtype mode" option.

I am sure this will help.

Best regards!
