Working with Mac clipboard text

Hi friends,

I am a mac user and I understand it is possible to use text clippings in windows as a way of combining clipboard text. What I want to find out is if this is possible in a mac or if there is a mac feature that allows me to combine clipboard text and work with that single block of text instead of switching between applications.

If you can assist me on the problem please post a solution, thanks guys.
