We are using Windows XP Professional in several desktops. They can access the domain after the set up. It is working for a while then gets shut off. It cannot find the domain again. It does not allow the administrator and users to login. It gives the message that “domain controller is not available”. Is there something wrong in the settings which block the systems in the network? Any help?

Workstations Cannot Access Domain After Being Shut Off
The problem may be occurring because you have not set your computer to an appropriate workgroup and therefore as a resolution you will need to try getting off the domain and then join into a workgroup on the network, and after you have done that you can then add your computer to the domain again.
Otherwise I will suggest that you log on to the computer locally, and after you have done that you will need to rejoin the computer to the domain that you are using on the network. You will also need to check and make sure that you have configured the network settings on the computer properly for the too may cause such a problem.
