Xvid Configuration Tool Error: Video Compression Failed

When using the Xvid codec for the Xvid Configuration tool, I am getting an error, "An error occurred in the Recorder: Video Compression Failed". I need help to fix this issue. Thank you!

Xvid Configuration Tool Error: Video Compression Failed

Dear Avah Hannah,

You are using Xvid, but you are facing some errors when you Xvid codec for the Xvid configuration tool & video compression failed.

This is an error can occur when using the Xvid or Divex codes as your video compression in Camtasia Recorder. For Xvid you’ll need the Uncheck the “display encoding status” checkbox. For Divx you’ll need to choose the 2080HD profile.

This can occur when recording with any other than TSCC and choosing a dimension that is not a multiple of 4. As a workaround, in Camtasia recorder click on tools, then Options, then Program tab and check the box for the Force region to multiple of 4.

Also some codecs (Xvid include) require dimensions that meet the constraints of the encoding profile that’s in use. So it might be helpful to set the encoding profile to unrestricted.
