Yahoo messenger login problem via proxy connection

Guys,

Recently, I used  internet connection with proxy setting. I can browse Yahoo mail server, but when I try to login to my Yahoo Messenger via that proxy connection, it failed to login. I tried every possible setting. I also setup the proxy setting on that messenger. But I failed to login. Will anybody help me on this matter?

Yahoo messenger login problem via proxy connection

Hello Tom,

• Change the IP Address of login server which can solve this problem. Change the account settings and change the login server ID. Update to the newer version of Yahoo Messenger to fix this issue.
• Check your Firewall settings. Check your Proxy settings. Check your network connection. Check the correct new version of Yahoo Messenger.
• As you said that you already go through the setup but problem remain same so its useless that i again tell you regarding the setup procedure. Simply check the setting above mentions. Hope this issue will be resolved.

Yahoo messenger login problem via proxy connection

If you will notice, there is no proxy server setting in Yahoo! Messenger.  Right below the HTTP proxy option it says: "Set the HTTP proxy server options (if any) in Internet Explorer".  Make sure that you have set the proper IP address and port settings for proxy server in Internet Explorer. 

In advanced settings, Enable "Use HTTP 1.1" and "Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections".  If this still doesn't work, contact your internet service provider and ask if they are blocking yahoo messenger access.

Other alternatives to Yahoo! Messenger is https://imo.im or https://developers.google.com/+/
