Yahoo messenger view profile problem

When I attempt to view Yahoo user profile by clicking view profile option in Yahoo Messenger, I get an error message “This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel." The same error occurs when I click on Yahoo mail notification in my system tray.

Try reinstalling Yahoo messenger.

Uninstall Yahoo messenger first then deletes the folder Yahoo messenger within Program Files. Only then should you reinstall it – use the most recent version.

It seems that you need to reinstall your Yahoo Messenger. That error you got when viewing a user profile is very incorrect. That error has nothing to do with viewing Yahoo user profiles. You may as well upgrade your current version of Yahoo Messenger. Download Yahoo Messenger 11.5 at https://messenger.yahoo.com/.

When the download has finished, uninstall Yahoo Messenger if it is still installed on your computer. Then open the installer for Yahoo Messenger 11.5 to begin the installation. After installing Yahoo Messenger 11.5, log in then try viewing any user profile to see if it works now.

You may also try scanning your system for viruses. Update your antivirus then run a full system scan on your computer. There are times when a virus changes the information in some random applications including the links inside the program just like what happened to your Yahoo Messenger.
