Hi guys, I have a problem installing Windows Live on my computer, I meet an error that goes, couldn’t install programs, you already have different build flavor of Windows Live. If you want to install this version, first uninstall the version that is installed on your computer.

Couldn’t install Programs

You already have different build flavor of Windows Live.

If you want to install this version, first uninstall the version that is installed on your computer.

Error; 0x80280008

I already followed its instruction to remove the previous installation, but after which, I still get the same error, I read an article on the internet some what similar to my issue, it is suggesting to get into the registry, but  I am afraid to touch the registry, guys are there any other ways in solving this issue, please share your ideas on my problem, I hope to hear from you soon, thanks guys.

Hi good day this error due to the mismatched version that was setup on your system, to resolve this kind of issue you need to go to the Microsoft website and update the corrupted files or you can update the downloaded application that is windows live essentials 2011 by going into the Microsoft live update option from the start up menu and select the proper application that you want to update and the problem will solve.
