Tips to boot into Safe mode in Windows 8
In windows 7 if you want to boot into safe mode we simply press F8 key while windows are starting up but if you do it in windows 8 nothing will happen. That option is no longer available in windows 8. Don’t worry, follow this guide to activate safe mode.

- Run command prompt as administrator
- Type “bcdedit /enum /v” in command prompt and note down the identifier
- Enter your identifier with this command “bcdcedit /copy { Identifier} /d "desired name for this new entry"”
- Now open your msconfig window and select boot.
- The name of the new entry will appear there please select it
- Check safe boot check box and save it
- Restart your pc so you can go to safe mode
- Make the other entry default so you can boot to normal mode after that
